After a forum on pension, members of Student Fight For Democracy, together with Oscar Lai (former Scholarism #2), requested that Carrie Lam step out of her car to accept their petition and have a dialogue with them. She remained in her car with a smile on her face. Throughout the forum, she just regurgitated the same lines.

Interview with political columnist Joseph Lian Yizheng - 64 yrs old (Apple Daily)
He doesn't have many years left. The older generation's requirements are few - stop facilitating so many "one country" characteristics in HK, the CE should govern HK properly etc..
However, the younger generation doesn't think like this. The older generation should support the younger generation in allowing them a choice.
If you told old leftists or CY Leung & his family to go live under CCP rule, they wouldn't be able to withstand it. How can you tell today's youth to accept it ?
Joshua Wong/Scholarism proposing a referendum (that includes a range of options) to take place in approximately 10 years' time for Hong Kongers to decide their own fate after 2047 is appropriate. You need time to lay all the groundwork - and the sooner it's started the better.
There can't be a repeat of the 1997 handover, where Hong Kongers had no voice.
If the build-up to the referendum is obstructed, you will see more radical actions.
You need to give people hope, a genuine way forward.
