It will most likely be a â€stationary†assembly on paper, with booths, stages, audio etc set up to convey the message, but we anticipate (hope) there will be more participants than what the park can accommodate, so it will likely become a “flowing†assembly, with the mass moving through the park following directions from volunteers... assuming we are granted LONO.
Organizers communicated with 33 Cities around the world, they will hold assembly or parade on the same day and will probably upload photos to show solidarity. The main theme is that HK autonomy under OCTS is in crisis, it’s a call for attentions and conscience around the world to take this seriously, and to show their (democratic) government that their citizens care about this and desire some kind of political response.
There’s a rumor going around saying Mitch and Donny are scheming to delay voting on Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act of 2019, but I think the intent is also to show the US that we still need them to take the bill seriously, the crisis is not over.
