"1600 Ten minutes ago, a bank in Wan Chai was damaged by two masked men.

Eyewitnesses said that a citizen stepped forward to question the identity of the masked person, and the masked person immediately fled nervously. He yelled "yourself!" While passing through the ranks of the riot police, the riot police stopped and stopped, without law enforcement, the two masked People fled without a trace. Eyewitnesses questioned that the masked men were not demonstrators." via Google Translate

    FYI.

A lot more people may be have trying to join from Victoria Park to be counted this time, at the organizer’s request.

I saw more than one detained, but did not see any reason for the police to use tear gas.

Indeed. The situation at present appears to be contained, but do keep yourself informed of developments if you near Wan Chai, especially around Southern Playground.

Police have retreated from the scene. My personal assessment is you may proceed with caution, but your own risk tolerance may vary.

Bad news, the police have told the organisers to instruct everybody to safely leave. Thanks everyone participating or wanting to participate.

You don’t need to be a conspiracy theorist to guess what happened here.

People might use the August 17th strategy. Leaving via Central MTR (which means walking the march route).

There is certainly more than one way to safely disperse. There are still hordes of people at Victoria Park and Causeway Bay. Good luck, and take care of yourself and the people around you.

I was right in the middle of the mess near the playground, actually at the HSBC bank branch where they were subduing spray painters. Further back a building window was also broken. Caught some pepper spray mist and looked directly in the barrel of the rubber bullet gun but not hit. Ran into 7 11 and they pulled down the shutters. Actively rinsing off a man who was directly sprayed but all were choking. The employees led us out a back door through the drink cooler and we made our way to Johnston road and back to the main protest. It was my own fault as I stood very near the action, wanting to see what was happening. People threw some water bottles, that was it. There were a few plainclothes police shooting the pepper spray. I don't believe there was tear gas, the mist from all that pepper spray was enough.
