Whipping cream is non-existent now! No flights - no deliveries.

    No cake!

Yup, I had to give up on making a birthday cake today, no flour, no cream. Now what to do with the 3kg of NZ butter I scored last week...

I was going to suggest make some pies but I assume you have no plain flour either.

    Bread and butter pudding?

Keep it in the freezer until supplies return?

I always bring about 8 kgs of spreadable butter back when I return from the UK.

I bring back several packets from France, but not being able to get there now had to find a new source. It will keep in the freezer, plus plenty for a fried egg or 3 anyway, a good keto alternative, better for me than cake !

As usual, Peng Chau has mostly everything for baking (most people don't have ovens). Come for a half-day walk around the still-uncrowded island (ferries can only carry so many people per day), leave with supplies. Haven't checked butter as I never buy that but most like there is some...can't imagine it's a big seller on PC. We were stocked through the TP crisis as well.
