No one was being forced to stay at home just work from home and practice some social distancing. Not the end of the world, certainly not for those privileged enough to have a good home with a reasonable amount of space.

But to avoid frequenting crowded bars, during a pandemic, seems like a no brainer. Not to do so was/is extremely selfish and shows a cold indifference to what's been happening all over the world.

Sorry your bubble was burst, welcome to the reality many of us excepted long ago.
Love how you had to squeeze in the caveat that it's ok for locals to ignore social distancing norms because of...small kitchens, right? Was that it? Have you personally measured the size of flat of every non-Chinese person who was infected at LKF that weekend?

Seems like a no-brainer, and yet for hundreds of people it clearly wasn't. Many of whom will be no less intelligent/well paid/well thought of/loving family members than you are, regardless of their background. Perhaps they have a different value system from you though. If the government close bars, restaurants, clubs, wherever else, then problem solved. People won't be able to go. Until then, people will judge potential consequences and then exercise personal choice. For better or worse. If you practice your own social distancing properly, you have nothing to worry about.

I'd be fine if they just did take away/delivery like back home.
Why should eveyone else have to sacriifce for your comfort and pleasure?

And another school yard fight. Guys, people come here for news, not for your petty back and forth arguments. Could you please start a thread for that or argue via pm..
Agreed. It's pointless. Some people only care about themselves. @shri please move to discussion or delete
