    Figured with the news about the a few vaccines producing immune responses, its a good time to start a new thread to follow various trials...

    People.

    Don't get too excited.

    Even if a vaccine is out tomorrow I won't be the first in queue.

    Why?

    The first version of something is usually buggy. And if it is not properly tested who knows what bug it will have?

    Vaccines typically takes years to develop, not in a rush like this.

    I would wait at least a year after the vaccine is out to see if there are any undiscovered side effects due to lack of testing.

    Always let the people in a rush be the lab rats same reason why i dont buy the latest stuff unless its been out for a while.

    I feel much the same way; on the other hand I want this craziness to end. So let's vaccinate everyone else please

    Can't find the news clip but it was discussed on CBC as well that there are multiple parallel trials and unlike the normal procedure they will move to production even before efficacy is established so that once it has been determined they can roll out the successful vaccine immediately.
