Its to stop crowds gathering and encourage people to stay home. It works to be fair - the mall opposite my apartment is dead in the evenings

Similar to only allowing gatherings of 2 people generally but cramming everyone together on a bus or train. Covid doesn't do public transport....

In fairness I did edit my post on the risk side.

If alcohol is a factor then surely it is very simple. No alcohol with dine in meals for the time being. People can’t have it both ways, insisting that they need to eat out because many HK places don’t have the cooking facilities. Eating out is therefore almost a necessity (on that basis) alcohol is not.

    Speaking of risks

Most people can buy takeaway and eat at home in the evenings. Much easier to do so than at lunchtime for most workers.

I'm not a scientist- nor is anyone here I suppose but with there being 8 mutations, how would this affect vaccines? Which mutation(s) are the vaccines that are being worked on, geared to?

Like flu vaccines .. you'd hopefully get a cocktail of sorts which factors in mutations/variations/whatnot....

My understanding is that most of the vaccines are focused on a bit of the virus which is not mutating.. of course it might....
