New additional cases today: 1 (Preliminary)
As of today 7 persons that live at Richmond Gardens have tested positive with the majority of the cases residing in Block 6. There are also cases in Block 4 and 18.
Dr. Yuen Kwok-yung visited Block 6 of Richland Gardens today and concluded that everyone needs to remain at home and be tested immediately with a further test on December 20th. If people must leave their home, he asks everyone to write down where they have been and who they have seen just in case contact tracing needs to be done later. For those living in the D units, these people will need to be sent to mandatory quarantine. Dr. Yuen said it would be ideal if he could send everyone in Block 6 to mandatory quarantine but at this present moment, the government does not have enough quarantine space available to house everyone from Block 6.
Mobile collection centers will be opened by the government today for the residents of Richland Gardens.
Dr. Chuang suggested at the press conference that its appropriate to mandate mandatory testing for a building if there are cases from 4 different non-related units.

not sure how to define this, if 4 unconnected cases occur in the same building they will do xyz. BUT if the 4 cases occur in the same building, then one common link is the same building. seems a tad later to be creating rules.
Great, now we aren't just sending healthy people to camp because they might have been exposed, now we are sending people to camp because they might have looked at someone who might have been exposed. In another 2 weeks we start welding doors shut and taser people for getting groceries. All residents living in a Kowloon Bay housing block facing the same direction will be moved to quarantine centres after a government advisor and University of Hong Kong microbiologist, Yuen Kwok-yung, said the Covid-19 virus might have spread through the building's sewage pipes.
Have not seen it. Hopefully the person who has the passwords to update that site is not down with Covid or something..Original Post Deleted
Isn't the r value backward looking anyway? What was happening a week or two ago.Original Post Deleted
This is the ridiculous situation after arrival at HKIA and a 9-12 hour wait for test results with NOWHERE open (extracted from FB QT Group) and apparently on the advice of health officials
** HOT WATER FOR CUP NOODLES AT HKIA IS NO LONGER ALLOWED.
You can get hot water to drink, but you cannot use this to make cup noodles. **
UPDATE: 11:30 pm. They have given up on the dream of hot cup noodles. It’s clearly no longer allowed, future travellers be prepared.
UPDATE 6:30 am.
After the shift change, they tried again, and were also told no hot water for noodles. Only warm water for drinking.
Is anyone there now (Thursday 10 December 2020 at 9:30pm) and able to get hot water for cup noodles?
There are many underage students (can’t go to Rambler) at GATE 209 waiting all night (probably until 5-6am) and are being told they can’t get hot water for noodles. They will give them cups of hot water. But will NOT allow them to make noodles ‘because steam is dangerous’. Someone is patrolling and preventing them from doing this.
Is there anyone on duty they can call, email or ask?
This is also in the comments
“It gets worse.
A student got two cups of hot water. Brought them to her table and added them to her cup noodles. And the person patrolling told her she can’t eat them.
Hot drinks are okay. Instant noodles are not.
Of course, there is NO STEAM from plain hot water, only when it is poured on Cup Noodles. This has been proven by science.
