There should be many many more restrictions announced at 6:00PM

Let's hope one of them is a requirement for all people living with people with heightened risk of getting coivd-19 must be vaccinated. Such as

    - Air plane cleaning staff
    - Border staff
    - Cross border drivers
    - Air crew
    - Internment support staff including medical, F&B, cleaning, plumbers
    - etc

This will hopefully slow the spread to avoid a citywide hard lockdown. Although that seems more and more likely given the high transmissibility of the current variant.

This does not bode well. I have a horrible feeling it’s going to be draconian

and this extracted from QT FB

‘Help please! Who can we escalate to? My very young kids are still at the airport 24hrs hours after landing (and after a very long joinery) awaiting transfer to Penny Bay with my husband. They haven’t had proper food, don’t have any clean clothes and are totally freezing. The officials there seem to be just brushing them off (“it’ll happen when it happens”). This is terrible for such young kids. If anyone has a contact who has managed to help them move things along please do share!’

I think the entire estate will be sealed off. If cleaning contractors are the superspreaders, they probably work in all towers and not just the two that have been targeted for LTNs so far.

If only HK had some sharp journalists... really want to see them squirm over the outbreak which came out of shitty hotel quarantine.

They can lock (burn?) this estate down all they want... going from “nothing much to see here” to totally out of control in a few days shows that ideology isn't going to beat biology this time.

That very specific Silka was supposed to be closed down as a DQH to become a Quarantine Centre. Still awaiting questions regarding how safe it is to have QCs in hotel if they cause outbreaks as DQHs.
