May 7th. Zero deaths, zero flight bans. 1 serious, zero critical, 2 in ICU.
Remember covid?
On track for more restrictions to be eased / dropped on the 19th.
https://www.thestandard.com.hk/break...tion/4/189994/Phase two of the easing of Covid measures will see bars reopen and operate until 2am with four per table, while restaurants can extend service hours from the current 10pm to midnight. Up to 120 people will also be allowed to attend wedding banquets, from the current 20.
An operating capacity limit of 50 percent for cinemas and some other premises will be raised to 85 percent. Eating and drinking will also be allowed in cinemas.
Bars, bathing houses, party rooms, nightclubs, karaoke, mahjong parlors, and cruises are also set to resume operations on May 19.
And thankfully no one else is taking this Einstein seriously...
https://news.rthk.hk/rthk/en/compone...2-20220509.htmInfectious diseases expert Joseph Tsang said on Monday that the government should consider requiring people to show a negative rapid antigen test (RAT) result for Covid-19 before entering premises where masks are exempted, such as restaurants.
Tsang made the comment after a Covid-19 cluster linked to a Yuen Long restaurant grew to more than ten people.
But what about country park BBQ pits?!
Does phase 3 say anything about reducing/terminating the quarantine time for inbound travelers? 7 day quarantine is still much too high.
If his advice is followed, back to Draconian tactics and more frustrations. As it is many restaurants don’t often scan or check the vaccine status.
Need to rescind the quarantine. As usual HK will be the last to do so after tourism and economy hits Rick bottom.
