Nope. Anyone in China at the time witnessed a whole new level of mass delusion and ignorance. Nobody in California was even remotely concerned. As was previously discussed, the real issue in the PRC is that they know they aren't getting the whole story from the thugs in power, so lacking information, they start to make news (and bizarre radiation remedies) up.

At least the people I know within the PRC realize they aren't getting the whole story so they ask their friends outside for update.

We are not as free here as you might think - you'd know this if you read the SCMP and/or The Standard (my experience, reading The Standard).

Give them 6k today, which will disappear like a fart in the wind, but they'll love you to bits and won't even think about another gummint which may not hand out free money the way these heroes are doing right now. Might not be true, don't take my word for it, but have a think about it.
