    Beijing 'manners' lessons

Couldn't help but laugh, given some of the previous threads here, over this BBC news item:

A 'queueing day' as well as trying to reduce the amount of spitting and bad language. Wonder if the London Olympics will implement a chav free day when it's their turn?

This will probably open up a whole can of worms... chav, would be someone who wears thick gold/silver chains (plenty of bling), generally unemployed, will take burberry (especially that awful tartan pattern) to the extreme, hang around in groups and either intimidate or when they've had enough industrial strength lager then start mugging passers-by. Of sub-standard intelligence and proud of it. Will probably read/look at the pictures of Max Power

Chav icons: Katie 'Jordan' Price, Daniella Westbrook (and if you don't know who she is, count yourself lucky), Rio Ferdinand I think would qualify as well.

Or in HK would hang around in that "wonderful " sports / casual sports wear at Ralph Lauren. In all white with lots of gold thread embelishment. The Polo white t-shirt with the huge logo in a gold sequin like design is true CHAV.
