    boring for them.

Unless you show them something they know such as Van Gogh's Sunflowers or Stary Night so they can take a photo in front of to show their friends then they are not really interested.

Deposited into specific bank account. You get a certificate to show the consulate. Needs to be there for 3 months.

The hordes of Chinese tourists in London would suggest that at least a few think it's worth the trouble to visit...even if it is just to load up on designer goods.

I totally understand the Chinese reluctance to visit the UK. Why waste time visiting a small island country filled with a glum and stuffy populace when they can see Paris, Rome or enjoy the Alps.

I suppose this cuts both ways though. UK travelers aren't that keen on visiting China either:

International Visitors to China: the top 10 (ranked by incoming country of origin):

Not surprisingly, the bulk of travelers to China are from the neighboring Asian countries.

The Alps - when I was flying over them with some mates the bloke in the window seat said "once you have seen one pile of dirt you have seen them all".

My wife on seeing old historic buildings in the UK, "why don't they paint them bright colours?".

    Each to their own.

As well as some culture and a frontal lobe.
Anywhere where they don't go is a better place because of it.

I bet they'd rather go to the Vencian in Macau than either of the above.

    Sad but true.

I saw the "Grand Canal" for the first time in Macau - the real thing a few weeks back was AWESOME, so much better than the Venetian!
