China's lunar probe lands on moon

BEIJING, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- China's lunar probe Chang'e-3, with the country's first moon rover onboard, successfully landed on the moon on Saturday night, marking the first time that China has sent a spacecraft to soft land on the surface of an extraterrestrial body.

In other news, the Air Defence Identification Zone (ADIZ) has now been extended over the Bay of Rainbows.

Don't look now but soon see the Red Star on the lunar landscape and certain claim to ownership. They've done well with stolen technology.

And everybody knows that China invented it all, from spaceflight to spaghetti to helicopters.

True story: in 2003 or so, when the Nintendo Que (only true videogame enthusiasts would know what that is) was released on the mainland, I have been told by the Nintendo trained sales girls in Guangzhou it would receive its games from a station based on the planet mars. I made sure that wasn't a mistranslation. They are not called the MAINland for no reason, they are THAT advanced.

Agree, IMO humans have to explore space to survive. I do not really care who does it as long as the gains are shared

Most of those who govern us still believe the Earth is flat, and that we will fall off the edge into nothingness if we go forth to explore and expand the horizons of humankind. They would have us kill each other for pieces of this planet, as if it were the only one in the universe.

Astronomers using NASA data have calculated that in our galaxy alone, there are at least 8.8 billion stars with Earth-size planets in the habitable temperature zone. That's more Earth-like planets than there are people on Earth.

"Here's what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money we spend on weapons and defence each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace." .........
