Faked TV fireworks sequences during the opening ceremony

This story has been splashing about the internet. Even if the fireworks did go off on the night, broadcasting CGI as "live" action goes beyond 'artistic license' as far as I'm concerned.

Isn't "faking" what China does best? Fireworks, singing, hand bags, whatever.

Well they are not faking those gold medals...While fakes are mass produced, let's not forget that one of the reasons they can make good fakes is that the originals are also made there...

Nobody is accusing them of faking gold medals.
Although, and this is one of those off-topic opinions, any sport decided by a judge should be tossed from the Olympics. Or from the term "sport".
