Did you see the news yesterday about the folks who applied to protest at the designated zones? They disappeared...

excatly...we are going to one of the horsey events next thursday (free tickets and I guess we can say we went to the olympics) my girl friend is becoming increasingly worried that I may strip off to reveal a full body painted tibet flag or something! I've never been one for protests etc but the lack of free speech, press, thought even, riles me so much!

...if you get deported do you have to pay for you own flight?!

I thought this thread was a protest zone... Was about to protest against "your" instead of "you're".

I had a protest of my own at Beas River
First I got my almost empty water bottle through security, then later found an almost empty bag of chips which had also gone un-noticed.
Then for the real hard core stuff-I donned my sombrero with hand printed ' TRIBE FETE' and 'CREAMY COD'
Protests over I turned my attention to the horsies.

I frankly don't see any problems with clamping down on protests and protesters during the Olympics. Let the cameras be on the athletes instead of some Falun Gong nutcase, that's what the Olympics are supposed to be about...

and the rest of the time when the Olympics are not on?

The point is that they designate 'protest areas' making it seem like they are allowing free speech etc...but it's a farse
