By threatening to deny flyover rights the CCP could, with apparent ease, make the once-celebrated Cathay Pacific to bow, replace leadership with characters of their choosing and force the entire staff to cower under new authoritarian rules.

Now they've gone and actually denied entry to airspace to a Polish / European Union airliner (cargo being life-saving humanitarian gear no less) simply on the basis of some long outdated dictatorial dogma.

Considering Poland's collective trauma under another expansionist communist dictatorship, how does the CCP reckon this will play out? That the Europeans have already forgotten why they're desperately seeking this gear to stop their people from dying...?
