Unfortunately she is being re-educated to never speak ILL of the past or present people in GOVT.

Never ever think you can say something and assume you can get away with it regardless how big of a star you are or how rich you are.

The Big Panda will send his goons to make you disappear for a few months minimum, make all your work disappears from the internet in China if needed

There's an old Chinese saying: "If they could do it to Jack Ma, they could do it to anyone."

    Fake news...

The letter on the China Global Television Network Europe’s Twitter page, which the broadcaster claimed was sent from Peng to WTA chairman and CEO Steve Simon, read: “Regarding the recent news released on the official website of the WTA, the content has not been confirmed or verified by myself and it was released without my consent.

“The news in that release, including the allegation of sexual assault, is not true. I’m not missing, nor I am unsafe. I’ve just been resting at home and everything is fine. Thank you again for caring about me.”

You can find the original statement from Peng online. There is no sexual assault. She actually want to marry Zhang, but Zhang refused. Then she went public with her story, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

So even if what you claim is true based on the evidence of nothing, it's perfectly OK for the party state to disappear her, and write fake messages she is "resting"?

I've seen an analysis which makes two points: firstly, they are incompetent when it comes to international messaging and propaganda because they've been dulled by local compliance and Party loyalty coming above skills, and that they don't care anyway - this is partly just a show of force: "We know it's crap, you know it's crap, but are you actually going to challenge us on it? Us, the great and rich China?"
