What I find 'interesting' in this situation is...why is a Australian journalist working for CGTN? If she is a pro democracy/free speech/human rights as one might expect from an Australian then why work for a channel like CGTN?
If she was towing the line of CGTN then surely the Chinese would have no beef with her. Great to have a 'westerner' back in the fold!
Which then begs the question - was she actually 'spying' for Australia?

Tough last few years for her and her family. I hope they can get their lives back to normal.
However, this is what happens when you get in bed with the devil.
