Strategic bombers over sea of Japan

China and Russia flying strategic bombers over sea of Japan - last day of Biden's visit
Russian Tu-95MS and Chinese H-6 - these airplanes are 70 years old - at least the design.
I'm curious if these old planes still serve a purpose - suitable for a protest flight, but in an actual conflict I imagine they would be too easy to shoot down.

Dunno how it would fare today, but that Russian Bear is one loud, mean plane. It's just as old as the B52 bombers and was the aircraft used to drop the Tsar bomb - most powerful nuclear weapon ever created and tested.

Evil Russians. At least they still have bombers left. Enjoy it while it lasts. They are losing everything in their criminal war in Ukraine!!!

If you have managed air superiority, can send out half-broken planes, no one will bother you...

Does anyone still think that these aren't just gopnicks? Joe's gathering with friends - let's show him that we can carry Tsar bomb nearby. What a logic.

    From Wiki ..

Gopniks are often seen wearing Adidas or Puma tracksuits (mostly Adidas), which were popularized by the 1980 Moscow Olympics Soviet team.[8][9] Sunflower seeds (colloquially semki [семки] or semechki [семечки]) are habitually eaten by gopniks, especially in Ukraine and Russia.[9]

The subculture is stereotypically associated with Russian chanson music, specifically the blatnaya pesnya subgenre; also, since the mid-2010s, in internet memes and viral videos, with hardbass.[10][11]

Oh, it has a broader meaning - unprincipled brash people with a low moral code. Putin and his team don't wear striped sweatpants with pointy shoes, but inside they look like this:
