Is mainland open to non-Chinese citizens yet?

Are mainlanders still scared of dirty foreigners or did that change when the restrictions were lifted? Any first hand experiences?

From talking to friends in shenzhen and shanghai things are rapidly reopening and most things feel normal. Almost everyone has had covid now so there is a high level of hers immunity. The hospitals are still rammed and people are storing the grandparents bodies in freezers.... Think ill wake a couple more months before crossing north for work and catching up with friends

Probably take the high speed and travel to some scenic areas in a few months.

Only had the opportunity to go once and it was a conference near the Terracotta Army. Still miffed that I had to swap that for a trip to Seoul.

China is on the bucket list still but not for 2023.
