    RIP LI Keqiang

His famous last words in farewell speach, "While people work, heaven watches. Heaven has eyes.”

Not sure what exactly he meant there after alleged fallout with Dada, hope he rests in that heaven..

Despite being China’s premier for a decade, it is not clear whether Li will receive an official memorial in addition to regular funeral arrangements. At the regular foreign ministry press briefing on Friday, spokesperson Mao Ning declined to elaborate on any plans.

Students, seen by CCP elites as the most volatile demographic when it comes to protests, are being instructed to refrain from public displays that go beyond the official lines. Screenshots circulating on social media show a message from the youth league committee at Hainan University instructing students to “at most” share Li’s official obituary. The notice said any online or offline gatherings were “strictly prohibited”, according to a report in Taiwanese media.

While I doubt a Russian official demise is part of the China playbook, sidelining is less a blood sport in the PRC.

His shunting aside as Premier and member of the Standing Committee before age 70 is most likely about differences on handling the economy with Le Keqiang more of a supply side, cut taxes, trickle down, deregulation sort of view and President Xi with an opposite view that is leading global businesses to exit China as they're not all exiting for near- and on-shoring and avoiding supply disruptions but due to geo-politics and how unfriendly it is to do business there these days.

Also, I'm sure ending covid lockdowns led by Li didn't help. We saw how fragile China's social harmony was during the protests of lockdowns and China quickly ending these after it was clear with XI, they would not do so.

I'm not a supply side as trickle down hasn't worked since the days when rich folks did open businesses and employ people.
