Getting some anecdotal reports from friends that hospitals are very busy, authorities are a bit nervous, and people are being isolated. It's probably an overreaction on the back of Covid, but there have been reports of a bad flu/cold season expected by HK health authorities also.

Be careful out there.

Bad flu season in the UK with fourfold increase in numbers and the hospitals are very busy - without any new virus.

The DOH in the Philippines has said ignore false gossip

Friend of mine just got back from Sanatorium, high fever, postules everywhere. Chickenpox!

Has he had it before? I thought you could only get it once until in Hong Kong got it again and then heard of people who had had it twice or more.

I haven't asked him that. They first wanted to quarantine him but then sent him home instead. 39 fever, so I bet he's just sleeping now.

Don't even mention that word that starts with 'q'. If they start mandating that and masks etc I'm out of here immediately. Those 3 years were enough.

Same, if I live through covid level quarantine in china or HK, I am going back....

Than again, it doesn't seem all that bad here in mainland china yet lol... maybe censorship... who knows...
