at 2HKD an hour (the ongoing price roughly in macau) it's going to be "fun"
This bridge is a waste of time and money.

It takes 60mn by ferry and it will be longer by car so whats the use....for lorries etc ok. for private car - pointless.

One of the key selling points is that it will save time for the Mainlanders to HK, not the other way around LOL

The travelling time between Zhuhai on the western bank of PRD, and the Kwai Chung Container Port and the Hong Kong International Airport on the other side, will be reduced by more than 60% and 80% respectively through the HZMB.

Zhuhai — Kwai Chung Container Port - reduced from 3.5hrs to 75 mins - More than 60% improvement

Zhuhai — Hong Kong International Airport - reduced from 4hrs to Approx. 45mins - More than 80% improvement

Am aware of that but we were talking in the context of HK/Macau

Sure for the mainlanders it's different - doesn't chance the fact that for private car it's pretty much useless.

For lorries and all yes improvement.

Are they going to run buses over the bridge? I assume so. Always thought it was a huge missed opportunity not to put a rail line on it.

You can't take your car on the ferry though!

want to experience tolo highway, you will see a few of these drivers, some are aggressive especially the 7 seaters, also very bad habits

That would have been too logical.

I'm sure CY is saving that for his re-election campaign.

They have not sorted the Admiralty station, and this platform is moving dangerously. Doubt engineering can solve all political whims.

If logic was in play, giant ferries would have made more sense.
