Not sure what this is meant to achieve...

    1. The people who will suffer will be the frontline staff.
    2. BOC is not the biggest mainland bank ... not even top 3

BOC HK was the bank who had the audacity to display pro-extradition bill messages on their screens during the massive marches on June 9th, 16th and July 1st.

Smart move - if nothing, this will hopefully reduce pre-emptive/compulsive shoe shining a bit and shut many fringe opportunist/ head-line noise makers..

Long lines at BOC branches because the grandmothers could not take out cash to go buy their daily groceries... or something like that.

BOC ATMs are Jetco anyway, can't they just use other ATMs?

Technically a HK bank but two thirds owned by Bank of China.. A consolidated subsidiary of a Chinese Bank.

What will this achieve? Just symbolism and a few headlines I guess.
