If they were smart they wouldn't disrupt flights again. Between the 180 flights cancelled or diverted on Monday and the 160 outbound and 150 inbound flights cancelled today (as of this morning per SCMP), that's probably at least 120,000 people who have lost a day or two of their time and many of them will have had to pay for rebookings, alternative flights, hotel accommodation etc. If they're trying to lose support by pissing off as many people as possible, this is as good a way to do it as any other.

The small sample size in the SCMP report gives an indication of the damage they have done their cause: https://www.scmp.com/news/hong-kong/...-cancelled-day

Pretty silly advice from Cathay - given that getting through to a real person to reschedule a flight on their "helpless" line is next to impossible at the best of times and for most of us rescheduling travel plans is difficult at the best of times due to hotels, connecting flights, family commitments etc etc etc.

If you don't have checked baggage - terminal 2 is an option.

PSA: passengers flying out of Hong Kong - IF YOU HAVE NO CHECKED LUGGAGE, please try clear security at Terminal 2. As long as you have a boarding pass
