Maybe I've been under a rock, what do they mean by British? UK passport holders working in HKPF on a work visa, or any Hong Konger police officer with a BNO passport?

Known British officers (officers having full UK passports but also permanent HKID's) working within the Hong Kong Police Force, and having been identified as committing some violation of international law.

I think they are going to file a case back in the UK, not HK

This private prosecution will be conducted in the UK and not in HK.

    Hah.

I don't suppose there are any ethnic Chinese/HKers among them with full British passports? Or they fly escape this because you can't easily identify them in a photo?

In my experience most civil servants and police officers here have full passport and don't need to mess with BNO

That is only true of older ones since that offer was 23 years ago and even then, it wasn't offered to all civil servants, it depended on their years of service.
