I don't know abt the bean bag but will be happy to find out.

I donated the seafood extravaganza that was auctioned but did not donate any of the lucky draw prizes this time. Just moi !

It was a blast yesterday and I do think I saw your dog because I love terrior types.
We have tons of foto's so I will have a look to see if one might be yours.

We are already talking about next year. It is my favourite event for charities.

Next time I think we should do the case of wine and cigars separately from the $2000.00 seafood as it gets to be way too high to bid on otherwise.

    BABY PUPPIES NEED HELP
The dog catchers were out on Lantau recently and came back with a lot of baby puppies. We have taken as many in as we can but really need to find fosters or homes for these tiny 3-4 week olds. Can you help?

Lamma Animal Protection is always looking for foster parents for cats and dogs, kittens and puppies. The animals in foster are the priority for homing. Many foster parents do it again and again, saving many lives. It not only helps the animals in foster but also releases resources to help others.

    Take a look at www.lap.org.hk or call 2982 4018.

There are lots of puppies and kittens at the moment. Please call if you can help!

    fostering a dog

But in the near-term, I have plenty of space and would love to have a dog for companionship.

My concern is that once I take in a dog, it will become a low priority for adoption (after all, don't these charities have far more dogs than potential owners?) and I'll be stuck with the choice of keeping the dog forever or cold-heartedly returning it to a bleak future. Has anyone gone through this experience?
I have just finished fostering a dog for 2 weeks from HKDR.Lucinda,(who is still waiting to be adopted) came to the shelter riddled with scabies, a condition that is highly contagious to other dogs, not to mention quite distressing for a 6 month old dog. Taking her home means she could be bathed daily, walked 3-4 times a day, and her total well being prioritised. HKDR do an amazing job but they need volunteers to make dogs like Lucinda better and ready for adoption. Like someone mentioned, the dog you foster is still on the website waiting for a permanent family. I actually visited Lucinda today at her new foster mum's place. She is adorable, healthy and happy. It's also a great way to meet like minded people like yourself and make friends.

    fostering a dog

    Hi,
we have a lovely boxer who is about 3 years old. Because I'm pregnant at this moment, I feel I'm totally neglecting my dog. My husband and I are very hesitant to give him away so we are actually looking for someone who is willing to take care of him temporarily. I see that you are looking to foster a dog temporarily as well. So if you are interested or if you know of someone that's interested in taking care of our dog for a while, please let us know.

I'm due in August so I will need someone to take care of him until the baby is about 3-4 months old. (longer is o.k. too)
    Thanks so much.

if you are looking for someone to board your dog, we have had many dogs come to us for anywhere from 2 days up to 2 years.

please feel free to PM me and I will pass on details.
