With randy1 I would suspect he's ogling the inside of PI apartments
1947? Highly unlikely.
If anyone is wondering what the above poster is talking about, here is the context (just to save you from having to also search):
Feral dogs have been in Hong Kong for years, there has been numerous rounds of catching them over the years (since before any of you (or me) came to HK and yet more pop up over the years. Most of them are shy and do not pose a threat to people. A few however do, the AFCD goes in and catch those and then go home.
Not saying you guys are wrong in wanting to do something about them, but it's naive to think this somehow can be solved as easily (or quick) as some of you think.
And strictly speaking, dogs do belong in Hong Kong, even the wild ones. The dog's ancestor, the wolf, once roam Hong Kong too many eons ago. Thinking of it in another way, these feral dogs are just reverting back to their ancestral ways...which happens to become a nuisiance to people in HK.
Water Monitors and tigers once lurk about in Hong Kong, the last tiger was shot in 1947, too much of a threat to people.
