Typically when breeding dogs owned by two different owners, the female dog's owner will pay a stud fee to the male dog's owner, the male dog will do his thing and that is the exent of the male dog's/ male dog owner's involvement. Sometimes the owner of the male dog will contract for one or more of the puppies, once they are old enough to leave the mother. The dogs don't hang out together or have a "family". In fact, unless there is only a single breeding pair in the same household it is unlikely that the male dog knows that the puppies are his.

If you are going to breed make sure that your dog is healthy and has a good bloodline (which involves a series of tests from a vet to ensure that your dog isn't carrying any genetic diseases), that the mate also is healthy and has a good bloodline and that you are absolutely positive that you can place each puppy in a good home - not an easy task in HK where there are many, many homeless, abandoned and unwanted dogs. A vet should also be involved in the entire breeding process to ensure the health of the female dog and the puppies.

I certainly wouldn't breed dogs in HK because (as already suggested) there are far too many homeless dogs/pups. But if you have people lined up to take the puppies before you even consider it, you need to seriously think about this: the behaviour of the bitch and sire. Pups inherit behaviours, both genetic and learned from their "parents" so if you have a very timid bitch for example, the likelihood of the pups being timid is very high, likewise with aggression. Also if you decide to do this, it's imperitive (very important) to have the pups born inside and where there is plently of activity and noise so the pups get used to everyday living of humans. The number one reason why dogs are dumped, abandoned, put down is because of behavioural problems not health problems. So please for the sake of the puppies having a nice, stress-free life, get them used to all sorts of things and being handled from the day they're born. Good luck.
