Dogs Photographed in Their Final Moments of Life Brings Attention to Pet Ownership !

A Taiwanese Photographer has started to photograph dogs in their final moments before they are taken to be euthanized to spark awareness regarding responsible pet ownership. The last photo of the puppy was particularly heartbreaking knowing this poor dog has never experienced love and compassion in their lives. The aim of the photographer is to give dignity to pets in their final moments. He hopes to bring awareness to the plight of pets and encourage people to take pet ownership more seriously. Personally I cannot think of anything more tragic then going through life and never having experienced love and compassion from others. This happens to many children and animals and hopefully one day everyone can experience life as it was meant to be lived.

I had to stop at 16. That dog's eye. Just had to stop.

I think dogs realize when the end is near. Their eyes are very expressive. My eyes tears up as well. Very sad how this World can have some amazing things but at the same time lack such compassion. I can never quite grasp why things are the way they are in this World.

We are living in an age of irresponsibility. Most people are 'me, me, me, I want, I want, I want', and anything like this is someone else's problem.

So sad. The worse thing for me is those are portraits only represent a small number of the dogs actually put to sleep.

Fiona in HKG and kikibun like this.
