Smile Why can I buy a Ragdoll kitten?

We recently moved to HK and are keen to get a kitten - specifically a Ragdoll. Is anyone aware of any local breeders?

It might be a long shot, but if you give Whiskers pet food a call, they might know a contact number for a breeder, as they were a sponsor of the last cat show held at the Wan Chai convention centre about a month ago.

They might be able to put you in contact with an association etc .

Lovely cat breed by the way, I have a friend in Australia who has one of the first kittens back when the breed was relatively new back in 1999. Instinctively you can hang them around your neck and they will happily stay there, hence why they are called a ragdoll. I think their hind legs are shorter than their fronts, so when standing their back is on a slight decline toward the tail.

Anyway, hopefully you can find one soon.

    Good luck

    Any update?

Hi, I am also looking for a ragdoll to adopt in spring 2017.

I see that this post is a little bit old. I was wondering if anyone could give me any updated information on recommended breeders.

    Thank you
    Lily

There are plenty of cats/kittens available for adoption, don't limit yourself to one particular breed.

Head over to any one of the adoption days when you're ready to adopt.

SPCA have many kittens. Lots of different breeds. I know that rag dolls look cute but are high maintenance. Also adult cats are also lovely. I adopted my British Shorthair Tabby cross American Shorthair when he was 4.5 yrs old. Loved him ever since 7 yrs ago when I brought him home ( against the wishes of my husband, who has looooooong changed his opinion since), as also our cat sitter and friend who just adores him.

Natfixit, can I ask who your cat sitter is? And do they travel?
