Most dog friendly area in HK

    Hi,

I have a 3 year old westie and am relocating independently to HK. It would break my heart to leave here in the US, but I'm worried about her lifestyle in HK and particularly if we will be able to find a place to suit both of us.

Could anyone suggest the most dog friendly area to live in, I have a rental budget of $14k and would prefer to live on HK Island or Discovery Bay, just because I'll be working in Central.

Any advice would be great as I'm struggling to make a decision.

you should be able to find a place in DB for that budget. but with the increase in prices lately, i'm not sure what...

there are LOADS of dogs in db...if you don't like dogs or kids, don't move to DB!

I live in Quarry Bay and have a dog and it seems fine to me. The built up areas of Quarry Bay are quite a narrow piece of land and you can be off the streets and up the mountain trails in a few minutes from most places in Quarry Bay or Tai Koo, where the dog can be let of the lead and running around. There are also a couple of informal 'dog places' around Quarry Bay where local dog owners meet of an evening and the dogs can meet and run around off the lead (a couple of places in quiet streets near to Quarry Bay Park). There are also pet shops in both Tai Koo and Quarry Bay for pet food etc. All in all pretty OK for dogs IMHO.
