Vets clinics health examination and pet foods

Hi there, I'm considering whether to go to 9Lives Cat Hospital, Ark Vets, Creature Comforts ( home visit), or Dr. Alex's clinic?

Has anyone used any of the above clinics and any comments or recommendations which one to go to? Which vet did you see?

Can anyone also advise how often is the best to have a health exam for a cat and how long is a vet exam? Do the vets allow questions?

Anyone have recommendations for a good weight loss or maintenance cat food also?

    Thanks!!!!

The vet at 9 lives is really knowledgeable.
We had a big problem with our cat and she helped solve it immediately, after months of fretting to no avail. Very good.

The Ark I highly recommend because they really seem to care about the animals. Added to which they are 24hr, which is really important if anything urgent comes up.
They also deliver food and the staff are friendly and helpful.

    All the best!

    Hello Creamy...

Q: Hi there, I'm considering whether to go to 9Lives Cat Hospital, Ark Vets, Creature Comforts ( home visit), or Dr. Alex's clinic?

Has anyone used any of the above clinics and any comments or recommendations which one to go to? Which vet did you see?

A: never been to the clinics, but they all have as good or better reputations as most other clinics in HK!

Q: Can anyone also advise how often is the best to have a health exam for a cat and how long is a vet exam?

A: most clinics book in 15 minute consults, but the exam can take as little or as long as is necesary. most vets recommend a yearly exam with the vaccination, unless your pet has a condition that needs more frequent check-ups..

Q: Do the vets allow questions?

A: of course they allow questions!! even those where the vet needs a translating assistant allow questions!!

Q: Anyone have recommendations for a good weight loss or maintenance cat food also?

A: "good" foods for this are prescription only, other foods are available at pet shops... but recommendations depeds on your pet, who you talk to, what your budget is, how strict you are, what your pet lifestyle is... ask a vet.
