    These turtles are not easy to take care of, they need a lot of food at all times, a lot of sun, and cleaning up their feces is not a fun job. I adopted one after its previous owner planned to abandon it. Mine is not good with other animals, it tends to be very mean. It's only happy when I feed it carrots. And I must say, they move very fast for a turtle. I would only recommend it only if you have a lot of outdoor space, and time to take care of it. It may not be as easy as one might think. However, they are indeed an interesting companion to have at home.
