Thinking of getting a Dachshund...

Hi folks,

Soya is still there so far as I know

It was Waggie we adopted.. She's black and tan, and a beautiful little girl. We did see Soya briefly when we went to pick up Waggie, and she is a beautiful and sweet girl too..

I think one should always try to adopt from a dog shelter *where possible*, and I understand this isn't always the case. It's hard going there and listening to the woofs and cries, and wanting to take them all home, but I applaud the people who run these places as the alternative for these dogs is not good. They are well taken care of there, but nothing can replace a loving family and place to call home.

We just love our bebe, she's very sweet and funny. According to our vet she's in good health.. Even if she wasn't perfect, we would still want to take care of her.

She is a fine dachshund specimen, and is curled up on my lap as I write this..

Congrats on adopting Waggie! I was planning to visit HKDR to see Waggie but you adopted him too fast Anyway thanks for adopting - your kind deed will go a long way

We adopted a male beagle about a month ago. We're at mid-levels so if you live nearby, I'll be happy to let the dogs meet.

my hubby, andrew, takes care of the dogs at DBDOGDAYZ. we do monitor VERY carefully all of the dogs in our care. we've never had a small dog run into any problems with the bigger ones. we require that all dogs AND owners come for a first visit to see how the dogs interact with each other and so the owners know exactly how things are run.
