Importing dog, but paying the special permit fee?

I am moving to HK with my dog this summer. I am having a hard time finding out how to get a bank draft in HKD from the us to pay the special permit fee. Has anyone gone through this process before?

Call around all the banks and see who does them in your area. I got my bank draft thru Wells Fargo

Also check with the airlines about live animal embargo during the summer. During certain months there may be restrictions about flying animals into/out of certain airports

Wtbhotia, it's the permit from AFCD.

When I was getting this, I inquires Halifax Bank in uk, and they said it would take a week....
In the end I got one of my relatives in HK to send in a cheque for me, and paid her back when I arrived.

I tried sending cash, but they would not accept it and just held on to the cash until I turned up in person to their office in Cheung Sa Wan and they gave it back to me.

Seems you can pay them to issue local cheques/bank drafts in HKD.
