Poor little kitty. He looks just like mine did as a kitten ( mine is a BHS mix tabby, same colouring and eyes) . I hope he is found soon. Have you posted also with FAcebook forum HK Pet Owners? You will get a wide audience.

    Hi Natfixit,

Yes it's unfortunate. But yes I have helped the owener posted on Lohas park Facebook pages as well some other missing animals pages which has been shared to HK pets as well. The owner also posted around Lohas Park. We have done all we can and hopefully Oreo will find his way home soon!

I hate to say it, but it is likely that he won't. Firstly, the owners should not have let the poor kit outside on his own. Cats DO disappear, whether from their own disorientation ( and they do, I hear about it all of the time), get stolen ( someone will take a kitten more than they will steal a cat), or get eaten by stray dogs and snakes ( yep, snakes are out and hungry. Cats and kits go missing from our village and south Lantau all the time because owners let them out rather than toilet training them to use the litter box, and they think that cats prefer to be outdoors. Not always. British Shorthairs also prefer to be indoors. ) I really feel for that little kitten and I hope that he was taken by someone who thought he was a stray, and if you are lucky, will be honest enough to give him back.

It it is actually a pretty unique situation. Oreo wasn't outside, but it is possible that due to the balcony door not fully locked, Oreo might have gone out and jumped off (37th floor). But with that in mind, we went out searching everywhere and couldn't find his carcass, which is rather strange, so we still believe that Oreo is still alive. But to your point regarding stray dogs and snakes, it's very possible in TKO...
