Red face Renting out pets and dog walking

    Hi,

I'm wondering if any of you know where I can rent out a small pet (eg rabbit, mice, birds) and help walk dogs.
I would also be interested in helping out and caring for cats.

I have checked if the SPCA and HKDR need volunteers, but it sounds quite complicated, and they have a lot of terms.
I've also thought about fostering, but most foster homes need to be at least 6 months long, and what I'm planning to do (walk dogs, care for cats and other animals) I will be only be able to do for a month.

Preferably on the Hong Kong side of Hong Kong (NOT near Shenzhen).

    Thank you so much!

I used to foster animals for the SPCA, I specifically fostered tiny kittens until they were big enough to be adopted. As I got more experienced I fostered sick kittens and had to make sure they had their medication etc and get better before being adopted. Was adorable and super fun.

Except for the 2 kittens I eventually adopted, my longest fosters were 5 weeks and my shortest a week. I fostered I think 13 sets of kittens when I had enough time over a period of 8 years. I would just call and let them know I was available for fostering for the next X weeks depending on my travel schedule at the time.

For a month then the SPCA would be a great fit for you. Contact their fostering department for more details.

    Thanks!

I used to foster for another cat and dog charity and sometimes the fosters would be up to a year.....
Maybe the SPCA is different, thank you, I'll have a look!
