There's probably around a hundred turtles in Telford Gardens pond, people give them up as pets I guess.

China cranks out more than just cheap toys; they crank out lots and lots of turtle too. You can buy a baby Red Eared Slider (so called Brazilian turtles by locals) for as little as HK$8. They end up dying after a few weeks due to inadequate care or if they survive end up in some man made pond or reservoir after boredom sets in. I just "rescued" actually paid $1000 an ill juvenile diamondback terrapin with gross shell rot from a pet shop last week. Seemed the previous owner was quite negligent in offering reasonable care. It is a beautiful creature and I hope he makes it.

Could you not have found a nice little patch of dirt in a park/garden somewhere and buried it instead?

When you finally croak I hope they chuck you into a sea of pus, spunk, blood, snot, piss and horse manure. In other words, your average breakfast.

Okay maybe just before you croak.

That's probably an infection - possibly of the ear.
You will probably need surgery if you want to resolve this.

I'm not aware of anywhere that will do this cheaply and well.
Lot of clinics probably wouldn;t do it all, or will refer you to specialist clinics.
Suggestion would be Tai Wai Exotic Clinic but definitely won't be cheap.
