    The non-profit making clinic still needs to cover the costs of running a business, ie paying the overheads, including competitive vet and vet assistant wages. This means whatever money is left over is then passed back to pet owners in reduced costs, or (as has been the case) it is used to expand the capabilities of the clinic (eg more staff, equipment, larger hospitals etc). It is not "subsidised" pet care at all, as far as I can tell from the grapevine and the websites... but I could be wrong (as usual!).

    I would not bother.
    NPV should stand for inexperienced and learning on your pooch.
