    Doggy Raincoats

I hate to be THAT girl - the one who dresses up her pups in frilly little things - but I really need to get raincoats for both my dogs as all that incessant shaking off in my apartment is creating a mess. Plus I bet it gets pretty damn cold for them when thoroughly soaked...I certainly don't want to NOT walk them just because it's pouring out!

Anybody have any idea where I can find dog raincoats, preferably online? I've tried OIC Wellness (online), Dogs BB (online), and Three Dog Bakery (Happy Valley)...no luck.

Sorry, I misread the subject title as 'dodgy raincoats!' Can't help with doggy raincoats but I wish you good luck in your search!

Try Whiskers 'n' Paws... saw some yellow colored raincoats when we were there about 2 weeks ago.

Perhaps you can try tailor making them. If you go and get those raincoats for children, but you need the ones that's like a cape, and not the sleeves type. You can try making the necessary adjustments to fit your dogs.

Another cheap alternative... use those black bin bags and make the adjustments to fit them.

I think that dogs are sufficiently evolved that a bit of walking in the rain isn't going to cause them to freeze to death, especially given that rainy season in Hong Kong is quite warm.

Now, getting water over your flat is a different matter- that one makes sense.

Dog One Life at Causeway Bay carries raincoats for dogs too.

I'll rather have water all over my apartment than risk being seen outside with the dogs in raincoats though! Good luck and I hope no one will give you the evil eye for "dressing up" your dogs.

Perhaps you can keep a dry towel by the door so when they come back from their walk, you can dry them off before they enter?

Are you serious? People really put dogs in strollers here?
