You can also try LAP - we got one of our cats from them and they do very good, selfless work.

Almost everyday, I walk past the same pet shop. They have the same animals in the same window. They are sick, stress and unhappy (you name it). Sometimes when they have new animals, the pet shop owner will take the old animal back to the warehouse and sell for later.
SPCA / HKDR / LAP, they are doing a great job.
It is not worth it to exchange cash for animal's life
