Talking WHERE TO BUY A FULLBREED PUPPY?!

    Halo Everyone,

Im fourteen years old. I currently have a pure breed white Pomeranian Puppy, who I bought from a Causeway Bay pet shop.. the pet shop belonged to a nice owner, but Im looking to buy a new puppy.

It doesn't matter what breed, preferably a chihuahua, or something smalll because my mum is expecting another baby soon!

Does anyone know where I could get a good pet shop for a cheap price?? Im going to surprise my mum hahah! :wave

    Thanks, xxxxxxx

You are too young to make a decision like this. Many countries have a minimum age for buying pets and we are lobbying Hong Kong to follow.

This decision should be made by the family together. It's nice that you want to surprise your mum but there are lots of other things you could choose, like a special pampering day, or maybe just spoil her yourself.

Well, usually the pet in the pet store are not healthy. They locked them in the cage everyday with lack of / no exercise for them.

Also, you should ask your parents and see if they let you have / can afford another puppy! (Have you think of how long the puppy / dog will stay with you in your life time?)

I think the best method is to go to spca / hkdr.

    i agree.
    (1) you should not be buying a puppy to surprise your mum. as someone with two kids i can tell you, that is NOT a surprise your mother is likely to enjoy.
    (2) you should not be BUYING a puppy. there are too many dogs out there without a home that need a loving family.
    (3) pure breeds are more likely to have health problems than mixed breeds and are therefore more likely to need medical services which are expensive
    (4) animals should NEVER be gifts
    (5) you should NEVER buy an animal from a pet shop! besides the animal being unhealthy, it just causes more animals to be born, then discarded as rubbish as they mature past their "cuteness" date.

    Totally Agree

Also your mum will have her hands busy enough with the new baby on the way let alone have another dog on her hands to deal with.

I rather think the point is that it is NOT your decision ... not if you are underage and want to give the poor little sod to your mother. You clearly have little idea what a puppy means, you have already talked about getting one from the cruelest establishments there are (pet shops) so perhaps you might want to read some of the advice proffered and realise perhaps your idea is not so great.

Why not start another thread about good ideas for your Mum ? Some of the mothers here might give you some excellent ideas.

Have you think of who will take care of your little "PUPS" when you're at school???? Who's responsibilities is it? Your mom??? or Your dad??? Well can you handle the vet's bill if your PUPS are sick? I don't think your parents will be paying for it. It will increase the financial burden in your family....
