    Question Stackable Washer & Dryer

    Hello!

I am looking to purchase a used or new stackable washer and dryer combo. There are currently none listed on the classifieds.

Any ideas on where to look?

Also, what should I expect to pay for a new set vs. a used set?

I prefer a stackable set to save on space and have heard mixed reviews on the combination (all-in-one) appliances.

    Thanks!

A test conducted by HK Consumer Council reflected that most All-in-One Combo are more electric-consume, low drying performance, etc.

For those machine drive appliance, I suggest you to buy a new one, esp. if the old user treat the washer badly, hugh load of clothes all pushed to the washer, it hurts to driving-motor much.

    Thanks for the info Clarence

I am more interested in a stackable set. Where the dryer is seperate from the washer but stacked one on top of another.

Any ideas on cost on new or used or where to look?

    MMP,

I bought ours on sale a few years ago. The Candy Dryer was approx $1800 and the Washer I think was under $4000. Best to visit the store in Central.

Is there any special outlet/air filter or ventilation system that has to exist in the flat before we can install a dryer, or can most/all flats accomodate the usage of a clothes dryer?

Dryer needs to be near a window. They attach an tube to the dryer which you need to stick out yr window and the hot air blows out.

And modern flats with fitted kitchens have the piping built-in behind the washer, up the wall and out through the wall cupboards to the outside wall.
