I am moving to HK in a week. Does anyone have any advice on what is the best mobil phone service what will work anywhere? Thanks for your help.

most of the providers are good...
all are above standard, and near 95% coverage

if you rank by quality (coverage)only
1. CSL 1010
2. Smartone-Vodafone
3. 3-HK
4. New World
5. Peoples
6. Sunday (PCCW)

if you rank by price/performance
1. Smartone-Vodafone
2. 3-HK
3. CSL 1010 <------too expensive
4. Peoples <--- Very Cheap Price but acceptable Quality
5. New World
6. Sunday (PCCW)

I don't suggest 3G services. If you want to get the best voice quality, 2G is the best..

They may ask you to use a 3G sim card on a 2G phone (pusing up the subscribing rate on 3G)...it's works...but if you do not prefer 3G service, ask them to give you a 2G card.....

if your wife or kids need it, juz buy them a Peoples prepaid card.......

Not bad, but Sunday should be top 2 or 3, not bottom

I'm using CSL1010, the quility is very good.
My service plan is HK$128/800mins....a bit expensive.
