flying from UK you have a few choices:

    - direct flights on BA, Virgin Atlantic and Cathay Pacific from Heathrow
    - indirect (e.g one change) with Lufthansa, KLM, Emirates, Swiss, Air France, Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines

the second options will be cheaper probably, and give you departures fom regional airports in UK (ie change plane at their hub enroute) but you didnt specify where you are travelling from. they will take longer of course.

best option if you are a student.. STA travel or Trailfinders. they are agencie in the UK which focus on long haul from UK. otherwise go check options on www.travelocity.co.uk

now for my personal choice - go for Virgin. the best entertainment system in the sky at the moment.

For best price and selection its got to be ebookers.com.

I use it all the time and lowest price at the moment in May is £296 with Cathay.
All airlines are much of a muchness but unless your brave go with a main carrier only the brave go Aeroflot via Moscow !!

    Another good site is opodo.com!

I keep on hearing horror stories about Aeroflot, but my personal experience flying them from Boston to Moscow back in '99 was an enjoyable one. Trouble free flight and relatively good service.

Thanks for that info. I do have to pay for my taicket before the school reimburses me so I don't want to have to fork out much before I get paid!

Best way to work ebookers is to keep looking for the latest deals up to about 30 days before you fly. The airlines continually update the deals.
At the moment July is about £540 which is far too expensive for a reasonable 2 stop flight on KLM.

I would never pay more than £420 and mostly do the trip for less. Be patient, it pays in the end.

    Good Luck.
