Expected salary

Hi everyone

I'm currently an English teacher in Japan but I'll be moving to Hong kong this year. Lots of the jobs advertised in the Hong Kong newspapers ask you to quote them an "expected salary". Could you tell me what an "average" salary is in Hong Kong for a full-time English teacher? I currently earn about £1400 a month in Japan (about 19,000 HK dollars).

Remuneration depends on experience and qualification. Your current salary is competitive enough, though the above factors will ultimately determine what your final package will be.
