    HK shoud I stay???

All, After a couple of weeks in HK I am having some second thoughts. My salary is circa HKD 91k per month before bonuses etc and would really like to know if in your opinion a guy can enjoy himself on the above salary. BTW I have no dependants, wife etc. Thanks

    Is this a joke and/or a windup?
We've had a number of trolls come thru lately.

must be a troll... if not, could i have your job, please? i'd kill for that much/month guaranteed (i'm self-employed so nothing is guaranteed for me)...

$91K/month with no dependents and this is even a question? man, you could/can live like a king on that kind of money!

It is either a wind up or someone who needs to be exposed to the real world.

Your poor sod, don't listen to the above posts, that's just rubbish. I feel bad for you. You'll be out of pocket quite a bit. When I get home I'll see what I can do about getting some gummint assistance. Hang in there buddy.

I guess it does depend on how much he spends on socks though.

Be fair to him though, he is a single lad just arrived and has probably discovered the delights of Wan Chai.

10 girls a week, say HK$20,000 including drinks, there won't be much money left will there. Cut it down to 3 a week and you will be fine.

    I feel your pain.

Trying to live on only US$13,000 a month is barely enough.
The "cash-grab" of the Hong Kong worker wanting US$4 per hour is enough to make me sick.
That means they would earn upto US$800 a month!
It is this sort of thing that makes everyone elses life difficult.

I would give notice and go back to where you came from - no point staying in this "Land of No Opportunity".

In all seriousness (if you are serious and a normal nice guy):
When you walk into work tomorrow, go up to your receptionist, office junior, admin girl and talk to them. Ask them about where they live and what they do for fun. Then ask what their salary is. If you still think $91k plus bonus is bad, find the nearest window.

in future I wont bother seeking advice from this forum...but I should at least be grateful for your candid and honest remarks. Yes, you do have a point perhaps I should be grateful, its not always about money you know.
