Funny... I just posted this on another thread about foreign-born Chinese people being illiterate in Chinese.

There's an online Cantonese resource here:
    http://www.cantonese.sheik.co.uk/

You can search the dictionary using English and it will return the Chinese equivalent in Mandarin pinyin or Cantonese jyutping.

CUHK have a well established English - Cantonese dictionary that is in most decent bookshops. It is quite comprehensive but compact and uses Yale romanization.

If I go to the dymocks bookstore they may have it there?

    "Chinese University of Hong Kong"

I would expect Dymocks to have it. Failing that, Salisbury RD YMCA bookshop usually has it.
